Cam Vidler joined the Council in July, 2017. He leads the Council’s industry-level research as well as policy development and advocacy on innovation, technology, intellectual property, competition and regulatory issues. In this role he tracks domestic and global trends affecting Canadian companies and consults regularly with government and business leaders. Previously, Cam served as senior economic advisor to the leader of Canada’s official opposition and director of international policy at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Cam holds a BA from the University of Toronto and a Master in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. He began his career as an economic researcher and policy consultant with the Fraser Institute, World Bank and United Nations.
